リトルビレッジピープル Vol.1 [DVD]

（vol.1〜3を通してのレビューだけど。）
「OH!スーパーミルクチャン」の田中秀幸久々のアニメ。
実写シーン以外は（多分）フルＣＧ。
相変わらずの可愛いキャラと毒っ気のMIXが心地いいし楽しいんだけど
ストーリー的に単調な感が否めません。１話10分の尺なので
仕方ないのかもしれないが。
「ミルクチャン」で中毒起こした人たちからすると、少々パンチが弱いと思う。

1つの出来事（事件）が起きて、サンダー紙袋がイベントを開催して、
それに対する3組（ユウヤとミチロウ、Ａ子とＩ子とＵ子、ケンとシュウ）が
どう反応して、どうしたか、のパターン。
DVDの中には7話入ってますが、ストーリーとしては2つ×3組のパターンで6話。
＋3組がシンクロした20分の1話が入ってます。
せっかく抜群のキャラがいっぱい出てくるんだから、
もっといろんなストーリーで自由に大暴れしてほしかった
（ミルクチャンと同じ25分枠ぐらいで）。

メジャーからアングラまで幅広く活躍し、
どっかの誰かよりはるかにハイパーなクリエイターの田中秀幸のことだから
いろいろ今後を考えてるような気もしないでもないので、
さらなる発展を期待!!

個人的には、無条件で人をイラっとさせる才能の持ち主U子、
現場のサキサカさん、「オフコース小田和正　大盛りで」が好きです。

Can't Stop the Music [VHS] [Import]

『ミュージック・ミュージック』というヘンテコな邦題で1980年に公開された作品。製作は『サタデーナイト・フィーバー』『グリース』のアラン・カー、監督は元ミュージカル女優のナンシー・ウォーカー。デビュー当時からゲイ・ピープルに支持されていたヴィレッジ・ピープルが、この映画の頃にはそれを隠し万人のアイドルを目指すようになっていたのではないかと感じる。チビッコのアイドルを目指しているヴィレッジ・ピープルが彼等のサクセス・ストーリーを演じてもイマイチ説得力が無く、一体誰が観たい映画なのかハッキリしない・・・世界のアイドルとしてヴィレッジを売り出したいプロダクションの意図だけが見え見え。ストーリーはチープだが、ヴィレッジ・ピープルによるミュージカル・シーンは結構楽しめる。"Magic Might"や"Can't Stop The Music"など、楽曲も素晴しい。本当のドキュメンタリー・タッチだったらもっと良かったと思う。

西城秀樹のカバーでも有名な『Y.M.C.A.』を始め、ミラーボール回りっぱなしのディスコナンバーが目白押し。しかも安い! これは買いです。ただ輸入盤なので、全部英語+歌詞無しでオッケーな人向けかと。
